he competition for AI is no longer defined only by algorithms and semiconductors. For artificial intelligence to work in industries and daily life, it needs fast, stable, and low-latency networks. Even the most advanced AI model cannot move the real world if it is not properly connected. In the AI era, network competitiveness is becoming national competitiveness.


The United States stands at the center of AI innovation. Leading AI companies, cloud platforms, and GPU ecosystems are largely driven by American technology. Yet as AI expands into autonomous vehicles, robotics, smart factories, defense systems, and remote healthcare, powerful computing alone is not enough. If AI is the brain, telecommunications networks are the nervous system.


This is where Korea’s role becomes increasingly important. Korea has world-class communications infrastructure, early 5G commercialization experience, and strong capabilities in semiconductors, mobility, batteries, and advanced manufacturing. In fields that require real-time data processing, Korea’s network strength can become a powerful bridge for American AI.


The future of U.S.–Korea technology cooperation should go beyond semiconductors and defense. If America builds the brain of AI, Korea can provide the environment where that AI moves, connects, and operates. AI may be born in America, but its connection to the real economy can be completed in Korea.


The next stage of AI competition will not be decided only by who creates the smartest model. It will also be decided by who can connect that intelligence most quickly, reliably, and effectively. Korea’s telecommunications networks are not just infrastructure; they can become a strategic link between American AI and the industries of the future.
